The Mohammed VI Polytechnic
University (UM6P) is an internationally oriented research and higher
education institution dedicated to innovation, applied research, and advanced
training in service of Morocco and Africa. Under UM6P, The Bioinformatics
Research Lab conducts cutting-edge research at the intersection of
computational biology, artificial intelligence, and Big-data science. The lab
focuses on developing computational and AI-driven approaches to address complex
biological questions in both biomedical and agricultural systems.
Eligibility
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Good
background in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Biology,
Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related field.
- Intermediate
to Excellent programming skills in Python and/or R and/or Bash (Pipeline
Automation).
- Familiarity
with at least one of the following is a plus:
- Genomic
data analysis (NGS, RNA-seq, WGS)
- Machine
learning or statistical data analysis
- Biological
databases and sequence analysis tools
- Strong
interest in computational biology, genomics, AI-driven bioengineering, and
data mining
- Good
communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary
research environment.

The Bioinformatics Research Lab invites
